If consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Data Processing Agreement
We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that this provider processes personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General Notes and Mandatory Information

Data Protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate deletion request or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will occur after these reasons cease to apply.

Legal Bases for Data Processing on This Website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR if special categories of data are processed according to Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In case of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also based on Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information in your end device (e.g., via device fingerprinting), data processing is also based on § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, we process your data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if necessary for compliance with a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. Data processing may also be based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The applicable legal basis in each individual case is explained in the following sections of this privacy policy.

Recipients of Personal Data

In the course of our business activities, we cooperate with various external parties. This may also involve the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We only transfer personal data to external parties if it is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g., transfer to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the transfer, or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using processors, we only transfer personal data of our customers based on a valid data processing agreement. In case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.

Withdrawal of Your Consent to Data Processing

Withdrawal of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke an already given consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of a breach of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive the data we process automatically based on your consent or in performance of a contract in a common, machine-readable format, or to have it transmitted to a third party. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Access, Rectification, and Deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to rectification or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for other questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do this, you can contact us at any time. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have objected under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your and our interests. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may—apart from being stored—only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

SSL or TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packets that do not cause any harm to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or they are automatically deleted by your browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (third-party cookies). Third-party cookies allow the integration of specific services provided by third parties within websites (e.g., cookies for handling payment services).

Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., shopping cart functionality or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required for carrying out electronic communication processes, for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g., for the shopping cart), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies to measure the web audience) are stored based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent has been requested for the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting), processing is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); the consent can be revoked at any time.

Consent is obtained via a so-called consent banner that is displayed when you first visit our website. You can change or revoke your consent at any time via the banner settings.

Which cookies and services are used on this website can be found in this privacy policy.

Server Log Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be merged with other data sources.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website—this requires the server log files to be recorded.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively processing inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.

Inquiry by Email or Telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.

5. Analytics Tools and Advertising

Matomo Analytics

We use the open-source web analytics platform Matomo to analyze and improve the use of our website. Matomo does not use third-party cookies and runs entirely on our own servers. IP addresses are stored in anonymized form so that no direct personal reference is possible. The data collected includes anonymized IP addresses, device and browser type, referrer pages, and interactions on our site.

Tracking is only activated after you have given your explicit consent via our cookie banner. We also respect your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting, which disables analytics automatically if enabled.

All data is stored exclusively on servers under our control and is not shared with any third parties.

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR)
Data retention: The data is stored for 13 months and then automatically deleted.
Opt-out: You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences at the bottom of this page.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter Data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No additional data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe or once the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is indefinite. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

7. Plugins and Tools

YouTube with Enhanced Privacy Mode

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that no cookies are set unless the user plays the video. Ads shown in enhanced privacy mode are also non-personalized. Instead of cookies, local storage elements may be used in the user’s browser, which can contain personal data and be used for recognition purposes. Details about enhanced privacy mode can be found here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780.

Further data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no control.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of providing an appealing presentation of our online content. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, provided the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

reCAPTCHA is used to determine whether data entered on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is provided by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the website visitor’s behavior based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the visitor accesses the website. reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, time spent on the website, mouse movements). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses take place entirely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place.

The storage and analysis of the data are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web services from abusive automated spying and from SPAM. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, provided the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
